Nebraska signed just 10 players to its 2026 class earlier this month, with the majority choosing to enroll early before the bowl game. Rhule said that offensive lineman Claude Mpouma and wideout Larry Miles also joined Nebraska’s practices in Lincoln over the past several weeks, but did not travel with the team to Las Vegas.
Linebacker Luke Gifford, a member of the San Francisco 49ers, and center Cam Jurgens, a Philadelphia Eagle, were selected for the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster. Jurgens, a Beatrice native, has been the starting center for the Eagles since Jason Kelce retired in 2023.
