The SEC is loaded, as usual. And even outside the College Football Playoff, a handful of SEC teams will get the chance to shine in bowl games, including LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. The Volunteers will take the field on Dec. 30 for their bowl game.

Sophomore Michael Van Buren will start at quarterback for LSU against Houston in the Texas Bowl. He has started the last three games for LSU, throwing for 743 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions while leading the Tigers to a 2-1 record.

But Vanderbilt also has tight end Cole Spence, who will more than likely be stepping in for the absent Stowers. Spence’s regular role has been being a blocking tight end, but Spence has shown throughout the season that he has a pass-catching ability to his game as well.
