Today saw the first of the sculptures by artist David McGovern of Monikie Rock Art, installed in Brothock Bridge as part of the Arbroath A Place For Everyone project. The second of the pieces is being installed in Guthrie Port and features local landmarks and legends such as the Signal Tower, smokies and the James Hunter Planing Machine which transformed the production of sandstone paving in the 1800s. The two 2.5 ton pieces of rock used for the sculptures are Angus sandstone, the same material
