From the moment we are born we yearn for touch with love, affection, signaling safety and presence. Without it we die; it is because this is a crucial period in our lives in which our nervous system is forming outside of our mothers body but still in co-regulation to her. As adults we still yearn for touch, we still can be so deeply impacted by it and for the female nervous system-which has a more advanced social engagement system-touch is crucial for us. We learn to show up for ourselves and to
