When Emmy and her brother Oscar came to me orphaned and rescued it was because they had fallen out of a construction site by 19 feet. Her brother Oscar landed on the helmet of a construction worker which broke his fall. Emmy, on the other hand, fell the full 19 feet. The fall blinded her in her right eye and she was not expected to make it. I tell you this because she has fought the odds and persevered

Her eyes were still closed, she was skinny and dehydrated. After a little research I learned how to raise her and got welcomed into the sweetest squirrel community online (even though I still had no clue if she was a boy or girl which is how she ended up with the name “Thomas”). 😂 After her release, she chose a big tree in my back
